A Robson Street Tradition

O'Doul's Restaurant & Bar is a Vancouver tradition. It opened almost 40 years ago under the ownership of the Tommy O’Bryan and was named after “Lefty” O’Doul, an affable AAA baseball player who spent a number of years in Vancouver coaching the Vancouver Mounties. Known for its Irish Coffee and Eggs Benedict, O'Doul's was a "must visit" bar and restaurant from the minute it opened in the late 70’s.

O'Doul's was completely reinvented in anticipation of EXPO '86. It was transformed into a 130-seat fern-laden, rattan-appointed restaurant, complete with a glass-house view of the Robson Street bustle. In the same year, O'Doul's Hotel was born as a four diamond, AAA-rated west coast slice of corporate traveling heaven.

O'Doul's next incarnation, ten years later, combined the Restaurant and Bar for a
New York Bistro look and feel. Jazz – 7 nights a week – started heating up the night in 1996 and it’s been cookin’ ever since!

From a sports fan hangout in the '70's to Vancouver's premiere spot for fine dining and cool jazz, O'Doul's has come a long way and it's never been better.

Come and savour the sophisticated West Coast menu and the awarding-winning wine list with some smooth jazz.

Cheers!
